Sopheak Lach is a Cambodian visual artist whose work is inspired by Cambodia's cultural golden era (1960s-1970s) and centuries-old portraits. Trained in her family's artistic tradition and formally educated, she has received numerous art commissions and exhibited at The Palace Gate Hotel and Angkor Art Gallery, focusing on preserving the legacies of iconic historical figures.

Many people, when asked about the past, recall the pain, suffering, hunger, and loss caused by the war. But this focus on pain often overshadows the happier, more vibrant era that came before it.

This is the Cambodia we want to remember and share with the next generation.
